If you are looking at these, you know what they are... These are the "Transitional Rola" ones, which means that in the history, these were marked as'Rola Celestion' BUT are built with the same parts - and most importantly the NOW VERY SCARCE 102 003 Pulsonic cones, before the Pulsonic factory burned down with all its contents (and secrets) in 1973! Check the photos for all the serial numbers and chassis codes - according to the Celestion website, these were built on 29 April 1971.

The T1221 was the chassis code for the original Celestion Greenback, and the'102 003' on the cone itself refers to it being made at the original Pulsonic factory. You can hear the actual speakers here. These short samples were recorded with a Marshall Plexi head and a Fender Telecaster. DON'T expect modern low-end and low-mids - the reason these are so sought-after is that honky mid-range sound made famous by Angus Young (who won't play through anything else) and Eddie Van Halen.

They were removed from an old Marshall 4x12. I was going to put them in a 2x12 but never got around to it, and they deserve to be getting used. Easy enough to solder into a circuit and put in a cabinet.

Absolutely TONS of vintage mojo appeal! Incredibly hard to get hold of and massively sought after!

I've got two more, one of which the cone is sadly in bits, but still carries signal, and the other looks fine - but doesn't pass signal. Get in touch if you have ANY questions at all!

I'm very keen to see these go to a great new home where they will be used and loved as they deserve. OR you can pick them up from me near central Leeds.
