Here is a THD BiValve 30 Combo guitar amplifier with a Celestion Alnico Gold speaker. Brand new attenuator supplied by origial designer Andy Marshall just fitted. Matched pair of new Svetlana EL34s just installed when serviced. This model was one of the first and still most revered of "boutique" amps.

The BiValve is a single-ended Class A device which enables the owner to tailor the power, gain and tone to suit his/her own preferred configuration. You can achieve classic American & British tones all in one amp. It is possible to select pre-amp gain, power amp power and tone in an almost limitless way that can adapt the amp from pristine, clean jazz tones all the way to face-melting metal distortion. The amp will work with 6V6, 6L6, EL34, KT66, 5881 power tubes. The BiValve incorporates a THD hotplate attenuator which enables the selected tones to be enjoyed from bedroom levels all the way up to large outdoor gigs.

This amp is loud and with the right power tubes will crush other amps with allegedly greater power. The standard of construction of amp, cabinet and speaker is to a military standard and of the highest quality which is reflected in a much heavier weight that you would expect. The cabinet is of 13-ply Baltic birch-ply, is on removable casters and is covered in thick black Tolex with a wheat-coloured grille. Overall it is in great condition as you can see in the pictures.
