Epiphone 1930's Replica Century 20w Amplifier. One small blemish, barely perceptible, left side. Approximately 1 hour on the amplifier. Please see Spec Sheet for complete features. The Epiphone Century Replica amplifier is a modern recreation of the Epiphone Century from the 1930s.

Epiphone was among the earliest pioneers of electrified instruments, and the Century's cabinet design was clearly influenced by the slope-shouldered AMPLIFIER "cathedral" radios of the era, which often featured beautifully crafted wood cabinetry. With its birch cabinet, distnctive bar handle and ornate "E" grill cutout, the Century was certainly the most atractive amps of its day, and it still stands out from the crowd today; it could even be considered the world's first boutique-style amplifier - and perhaps the coolest amp ever. While the cabinetry is a faithful reproduction of the original 1930s Century, the circuitry has been updated to more modern standards. The'30s-era preamp tubes are no longer available, So modern 12AX7 tubes are used in the replica.

The circuitry has also been updated with contemporary features, such as three differently voiced inputs (the original Century had three parallel-wired inputs, each with the same voicing, since they were intended for use with multiple instruments). A footswitchable Boost feature optimizes the Century Replica for clean or overdriven tones, and an extension speaker jack provides additional flexibility.
