Up for sale is a severely underrated amp that should go down as one of the greats.... The Fender Frontman Reverb amp. As with all Fender amps, the clean channel on this little guy does not disappoint! Even with a small cabinet, a "meager" 15 watts, and an 8 inch speaker, the cleans are so bright, clear and round sounding.... So "why" you ask, do I feel that this seemingly unassuming PRACTICE amp is actually a raging MONSTER in disguise? The secret lies in the 8 ohm extension speaker output of this little BEAST!

Especially on the distortion channel, if you attach this little sucker to a 4x12, to a 2x12 or even a good 1x12 cabinet like I do, it BREATHES FIRE like you wouldn't believe! I wrote a song some years back.... The riffs are very heavy with a fairly slow BPM count considering it's a metal song.

I swear, I've played the song through tube amps, with tube pedals, with Randall solid states, with Metal Zones, Metal Monsters, Metal Cores, you name it. And let me tell you, my song always sounds the best with the distortion in this little box through an extension cabinet!

And I do call it distortion, though with the gain set very low, like up to 2, you CAN get some pleasing overdrive sounds. But anything after that, is just pure old unadulterated raging DISTORTION! Just a terrific sleeper of a little amp! This model has on-board reverb as well.

Sounds terrific at subtle levels, or all out surf-y type sounds! It is an effect that Fender is very well known for. And the reverb on their amps never disappoint! You can also use this amp as a small PA (Public Address) system!
