Vintage Rock Amps Petros 1 Battery Powered Guitar Amplifier Working

  

It's powered by 8 Size D batteries. It measures 12" X 12" X 6 deep.

I believe it's from the 1980s I bought it with a guitar 10 or more years ago and never tested it for lack of 8 batteries. I finally bought some the other day and boy does this thing scream. There is little information on these amps especially the battery type basically none at all. The batteries fit into clips and hold 4 of the batteries at either end. The other 4 probably had some sort of gizmo to hold them in.

It's not there so it has to be used on a level surface or the will roll out. I'm sure it can be easily remedied. It would be nice to find a way to adapt it to use AC. The rear access panel originally had Velcro on it but will need more. The batteries under the speaker start with the hot side on the right side.

The row nearest the rear has the hot side starting on the left. The tag on the rear panel reads Rock Amplifier Co. The writing on the controls reads Mini-Rock.
