JENSEN P10R Original Donal Kapi PAPER Speaker Cones

  
This was the speaker used in the Fender 5F6A Bassman, otherwise known as the 4X10 Bassman or simply the Tweed Bassman. These are original cones as used in the 50's by Jensen in America and found on original American Fender Electric Guitar amps that use Jensen P10R speakers. If you own an original Bassman, you need these original Donal Kapi speaker cones because you will N-E-V-E-R find them anywhere else and "when", not "if", you blow your original speakers, owning the original parts to recone them to new condition will enhance the value of your amp by hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. Imagine that, a vintage 5F6A Bassman with speakers restored to original factory mint condition! If you own a reissue Bassman, you could find some blown vintage P10R Jensens, recone them with these original cones and use the rebuilt speakers in your reissue Bassman to make it more like the original Bassman. You will blow your old speakers if you play your amp.

Because the paper voice coil former will eventually disintegrate. Imagine a piece of paper 60 years old that has been heated up and cooled hundreds of times in the last 60 years. Do you think it might become brittle? And the glue technology from the 50's wasn't all that great either.

If you own a Bassman and play it, the speakers will soon be history and these cones could be the only saving grace to put it back to brand new condition. The IRS shut down Donal Kapi in late May of 1993. They were melted down and gone forever. Lucky for me that I bought the entire last run of the 3KSP paper P10R cones. When the ones I have are gone, that will be it.
