This style of driver, I usually rebuild myself, out of reclaimed Zenith drivers and the like from old hifi consoles, to get the quality of tone I like, but this one does it right out off the assembly line, which by the way, is all hand built in the USA. This is a great replacement for the Jensen P12R or any 12 guitar speaker.

Classic, yet very modern sound -Excellent string separation -Cone breakup that comes later than one would expect from this type of driver -Outstanding high end clarity for that clean Fender chime and ring, yet at high gain drive, maintains that clarity -This driver is by far the best for lower output configurations because of its outstanding clarity at all gain levels, blazing leads and surf alike! Test gear: -98 Soldano Hot rod 50 -tube compliment- 2 TAD 6l6 power stage, 3 Groove Tube 12ax7M pre, 1 Groove Tube 7025 dr/spl/inv stage -73 Fender Telecaster Deluxe(twin humbucker), brass nut and extra large frets -single closed back cabinet tested with one hour medium gain, medium level break in.
