This all-new 12" guitar speaker was developed for the new 6505 412 Cabs and was based on the original Sheffield 1200/1230 design platform but has been overhauled and "corrected for better consistency with a much tighter, responsive bottom and a smooth, more refined high end that is nearly identical from part to part. The new Sheffield 1230+ performs equally well in both open and closed back cabinet configurations. The new humidity-resistant design is also nearly impervious to environmental temperature fluctuations and long term storage concerns. Best of all, the new Peavey Sheffield 1230+ is THE BEST possible replacement for the tired old Sheffield 1200s in your vintage Peavey 412 cabinets. Rated power = 60W (rms, continuous); 80W (max).
