1955 JENSEN P10Q 10 GUITAR SPEAKER. IN THIS LISTING you're purchasing what SHOULD BE the finest Jensen P10Q speaker on the planet. When our client, who is not technically savvy, removed this PRISTINE speaker from the 65 year old cabinet before our arrival, he mistakenly set it down on a sharp object, thus piercing the outer edge of the cone, as shown in the photos.

I've since repaired it. Such a shame because this sat in a virtually unused specialty organ cabinet, undisturbed, for 65 years. It's still gorgeous and presents beautifully, but it has a repair. As shown in the photos, the DCR value on our Fluke 15B is an excellent 6.2!

I've been repairing these for years, and normally the speaker will work perfectly and last years and years afterwards, without incident. However this is a 40 watt speaker which is designed to handle some serious volume and distortion, and due to the nature of how it may be used, I simply can't know or guarantee how it will perform for you or how long it will last.

It may blow apart in 2-3 licks, or you may find yourself ten years down the road reflecting back on how awesome it's been for you over the decade. But the price is low enough that you can have a fresh beautiful recone completed at some point in time and you will then have one of the finest P10Q's on the planet.

I have NOT played it since the repair, but the DCR value is solid. Start slow, at lower volumes, let it rest, and build from there.

Allow the surround to acclimate and meld itself to the slight structural changes of the repaired area. It's a 65 year old paper speaker. That will supply a more uniform load to the entire surround area.

I normally do that on vintage speakers of this type before offering it up for sale, but since this is a very specialized driver I opted to leave it original, as some players insist upon.
