It needed a new power transformer. It was a 269BX which was recommended. The transformer sizing was different compared to the original so I had to add some aluminum pieces to fit it in. I bolted two aluminum pieces on each side and then bolted the transformer on. It's solid and the upgraded power transformer does make a difference. The amp has some heavy wear, but it works great. I still have the kit, new so if you are interested in that, please let me know. I've owned a few of these amps and the ones I did, did not have this long of a power cord so I believe the power cord may have been replaced. It is nice and long. Any questions, please reach out.
