The tremolo functions beautifully, and the amp breaks up naturally with that classic vintage American tube sound. Gibson-built in Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA.
Original 10 speaker appears to be present. This amplifier was professionally repaired and updated to address the original grounding design. It now has a modern grounded 3-prong power cord for safe operation. A replacement power switch was installed during servicing. These are common and desirable reliability upgrades for players who intend to actually use vintage tube equipment. For an amplifier approaching 60 years old, the cosmetic condition is outstanding. There are normal signs of age and use, including light scuffs and edge wear, but nothing that detracts from its vintage appeal. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.
Unlike later imported Epiphone amplifiers, this is a true Gibson-era Epiphone, built alongside Gibson and Kalamazoo amplifiers in Michigan. These small single-ended tube amps are highly regarded for their warm cleans, smooth overdrive, and lush vintage tremolo. They're often compared favorably to vintage Gibson Skylark and Fender Champ amplifiers but remain much harder to find. Whether you're a collector, recording musician, or vintage amp enthusiast, this is a wonderful example of an increasingly scarce Gibson-built Epiphone. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or requests for additional photos.
