Vintage Fender 68 Band Master Tube Guitar Amplifier AB763 - Combo Amp. 40 watt, 12 Fender Special design Eminence Speaker, and an 8 Fender Special Design Jensen Speaker.

A very interesting pairing and sound from this vintage amp. You get some wonderful chimes and yet this huge bottom end. Fender did not make a combo Band Master Amp. This appears to be a vintage 1968 Band Master Head in a Mojotone Cabinet, solid pine, not laminate, particle or OSB.

This Band master has had the main transformer replaced, and some of the capacitors. It maintains that black face circuit on the non-vibrato side. The vibrato side has had a master volume out into one of the input jacks, and is wired so that its not the tone killer of the later Silverface Amps.

The vibrato is thick on it too. The tone on this amp is wonderful. Nice thick bass, and a peaceful chimey highend. The amp is great for gigging, as you can dial in just about any Fender sound you like.
